As Troop 12150 began to think about a bronze award project, they reflected on how 4 of their Girl Scouts over their years as a troop
had to leave Scouting due to homelessness crises. As these girls dealt with family situations, they realized they had a lack of
knowledge for available resources to help these families. They thought that there were community resources that could help in times
of trouble, but didn’t know who they were or how to reach them.
The Juniors of Troop 12150 began to put together a binder of service information that could be used by troop leaders and our Service
Unit team as a resource for family crisis situations. Their gathered information even includes resources for homeless pets.
We're very proud of these girls and their work to improve the lives of their sister Scouts.
